The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 克制的流浪长诗，既不过分悲戚又不过度赞美，对失去和放下的探讨其实和《蓝》的自由母题接近。略有遗憾的是未能把时代背景下个人精神的强迫流浪表现更充分。换句话说，所谓"自由"也不是纯粹的个人选择更是对后工业资本主义的拒斥与背叛，能更有现实批判力度。但一个中国籍导演能拍出如此美国的作品，还有麦姨的演技，真的厉害

公路片大多是讲旅途见闻和治愈的，这部电影却以孤独为题，离群索居是因为伤痛，浓的化不开。
恭喜赵婷。但我还是要说，这个电影真的很难进入，也很难让人接受，大段的慢镜头，过于平静和冷峭，这就是一个超长版的MV。
