The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 匠气重得离谱，文本干到发瘪。经验提炼的有效性与情境构建的组织力高度欠佳，以为黑白影像与怀旧金曲的复古联动产生化学反应必定可爱且极易动人，拍个人被社会裹挟汹涌为时代浪潮约莫要自诩卡隆附体，太多构图与机位的强设计却是藏不住的小聪明四溢。所谓童年与乡愁情结在此亦不过是一系列符号堆砌与硬拗造型的副产品，内里充斥的尽是傻到鼻子冒泡而不自知的无节制自我陶醉和意淫。每场戏都像是面镜子 反射出的只有躲在摄影机后面暗自窃喜的布拉纳：看老子多会调度。

非「寫實」的置景，舞台化的概念。將童年往事濃縮進一條街道的微縮景觀模型，以對應小孩的視點。爺爺奶奶那條線寫得動人。〈正午〉的互文，離開的與留下的，構成我們的鄉愁。
街道的制景感太强了。整部影片好似孩童的回忆散漫无重点。整部影片属于有佳章但非佳作。
