女主因为家中煤气泄漏，失去了两个女儿，此后作为志愿者，在雪山上救助遭遇险情的登山者。一次她偶然拯救了一心赴死的约翰，但是约翰却在脱离险境之后不告而别。直到后来他们再次相遇，约翰敞开心扉，讲述了自己想要在山上结束生命的原因。敬畏生命，放下旧日伤痛，女主用自己的亲身经历，从生理和心理两个层次都拯救了约翰，虽然情节单调，但是也算是部不错的类型片。
