brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'

无论理查德身上有多少缺点，大小威在网球这项运动的巅峰周期，以及对社会的回馈确实与父亲的教育是密不可分的，成功来自于偏执。
看体育电影就是轻松啊。看网球的时候知道的大小威廉姆斯，没想到是贫民窟走出来的运动员。成功真的是各种因素促成的，不只是钱。
人物设置非常吸引人的体育传记片。典型的好莱坞经典剧作套路，人物一开始就带戏出场。且理查德这个角色的权威和尊严让人畏惧三分，人物鲜活而让人感觉到有真切的压力。will smith的表演也为这个剧本增色不少。人物设置依然是类似于《当幸福来敲门》的底层黑人励志翻盘，而故事结构则类似于《点球成金》，最后没有成功，而是以抑代扬，展现人物的魅力多于人物的胜利，也许是好莱坞体育传记片的新趋势。

从本片来看，这个“计划”得以成功，更多的在于女儿们对父亲的相信和自身的努力。
其实一般， 当了解俩姐妹的电影看。史密斯里面也没有太多体现演技的地方啊
威廉姆斯两姐妹的老爸可以说是奇才吧，育儿的典范！在物质最贫乏的生活环境中，一方面从小给小孩和家人灌输概念“你是最棒的，一定会成为世界第一”，另一方面通过一步步，脚踏实地，日复一日的训练，但同时坚定的让小孩不要放弃学习知识，不必过早的进入成人的功利游戏里，最终果然一切都在“计划之中”。

再由故事内联系故事外吧，我们讲有些事不是被给予而是去争取。但我以为，这种“被神话”的争取，不是真实的争取，也争不来。
为什么老是扫别人的兴
教育是个无论选择哪种方式都有争议的问题，但教育最大的回报是来自于子女的信任和爱吧，就像理查德爱说的“规划”，我想有规划和尽心教育都不是最差的事。突然也觉得，可能我们也误会了“球爹”多年。
interesting angle..but sports are all about the winning spirit, passion, obsession..just not feeling the excitement..the father/coach figure, if only it did a decent job as Dangal. such an inspiring journey, this movie seems barely do justice to their stories. the Williams sister endorsed it so maybe it's a love letter to their parents not for fans
不能因为他的成功而肯定他的做法，整部电影的价值观都很有问题。
看得太累了，两个半小时的老套流水账。最精彩的是片尾纪录片片段和碧昂丝歌声的串剪。运动不运动，家庭不家庭，种族不种族，女权不女权。镜头也平淡。史皇的发挥，好但不优秀。只是这题材太适合冲奥罢了。

20220221 电影的主角不是大小威廉姆斯，而是他们父亲理查德的奇葩人生。最有趣的地方是，理查德从一开始就认定，要改变阶级，就只能通过打球，从事白人占领的网球运动这一条路。但在康普顿培养出两个大满贯选手不但需要运气和天赋，同时还有令人厌烦的固执与坚持。理查德就是这样一个爹，牢牢控制着女儿的“成长权”。体育电影本身的叙事模式较为单一，在有限的空间内，演员的表演和对独特性格的塑造往往成为影片的重点，这一点上电影有突破，但就故事本身来说，仍是励志导向性的，对社会问题（特别是种族问题）的讨论也极为有限。
故事流畅， 节奏稳定。 可贵之处是优良的家庭教育意识， 以及社会脱困意识的体现。 剧本其实非常平庸， 当然了， 运动传记都一个鸟样。 相比《摔跤吧，爸爸》《印度女孩》 对中国观众来说既缺少感官上的新颖， 又缺少土美土美的舞曲冲击， 相比《妈妈的神奇小子》， 又少了一份坎坷崎岖带来的感动... 整个观感平平无奇， 不痛不痒不牵强， 不出错＝奥斯卡水平？
