The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 一人一狗一机器人，末世的温情、人性和爱，竟然看到泪目。
人的好与坏。芬奇好几处向我们展示了人的坏。但也正如芬奇所说，“Humans are full of contractions.”人的好，得细品才知道。说实话我品得很有限。十分看重狗的安危有点像是为了自己的不作为而赎罪(当然有罪恶感也是人的品行)。还有“live a little”/"human experience"(人与物/自然)，还有金门大桥上挂的各种明信片(人与人)。这一些属于人类的高级情感享受，但也很简单。
虽然情节、设定背景都平淡且老套的很，但它还是能一步步把你引入陷进让你泪流不已。
“你去看世界了吗？” “…总是有各种各样的阻碍，健康、工作、妈妈、世界末日，还有…我只是一直没找到机会。”

整部电影都非常喜欢，尤其是最后的平静的死亡场景，我希望我最后的死亡也能向电影中的那样，平静，祥和，接受。
