The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 不得不说，艾伦索金的剧本功力太了得了，美国人拍这种题材也是出神入化。 整个电影张力十足，最后的结案陈词差点看哭。为什么一直用理想对抗不公，为什么一直没有放弃，因为全世界再看！
作为一个政治审判，比一般的庭审更复杂。可惜带有倾向性的主题，并没有表达清晰，各方面都不太站得住，大法官也没有明显做错什么，辩护律师执着的原因也没铺垫清楚，很多桥段设计太过戏谑，看了让人并不舒服。既不严肃又不荒诞，更不深入，纯粹是简单煽动和渲染革命的合理性，我不支持。
13分钟时的演技，由难为情——不情愿——假意趋同——附和——矛盾挣扎——心甘情愿。

如果喜欢《社交网络》，那么这部片子肯定对你的胃口。
剪辑凌厉又伶俐，台词与场景之间的互文更是自带力量，共同构建起庭审、现场、回忆/讲述交错编织的叙事空间，历史影像在其中穿行无碍，是警铃，更是利刃，劈开时代的外衣剖心而来，历史何其相似，却又何其不同！

处处是设计处处是价值观判断，反而冲淡了真实感，内容上又缺乏新意，与大量的好莱坞左派作品流于同质化的泥淖，看多了就觉得，跟主旋律影片也没啥区别。
索金的编剧、叙事剪辑和场面调度处处展现匠工 舞台剧一般戏剧性的冲突在如今美国现状份外切题 年轻的检察官问，“你对你的政府有意见吗？”abbie最终的回答是，“在这个国家，我们每四年实践一次。” 还有更好的答案？
