The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 艾伦·索金的一贯发挥，保持了快节奏和高密度的台词，工整且有力。只不过倾向性还是很明显的，并且明明是七君子的故事，电影却拍成了五君子，人物塑造的也略显扁平。
一部分人看来这部电影揭露了美国之耻，但这部电影也同时揭示了美国何以为美国，美国何以伟大—蓬勃有力的公民社会，不同意见交锋牵扯，公民享有意见表达渠道，关键时刻可以仰赖的普通人的良知和正义。
没有感触，也没有震撼，可能是有人别有用心，评高分数吧。

是否是在暗示老美民众，他们正在过着跟1968相似的时代？
索金目前的两部导演作品都是看完Act 3冲动多打一星。这里的剧本是加分项，但是如果给芬奇这类导演拍，原封照着剧本拍也是4星，if that make any sense...可能最合适还是拍成mini-series。以及雀斑选角好灾难...
剪辑营造了叙事氛围，但为此也牺牲了流畅性，整体是种凌乱的观感。故事本身很值得记录，电影拍的精彩但套路，很"聚焦"，是冲着奥斯卡去的了。
