The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 久违了阿姆罗...高达说的是这样一个故事，冲动敏感又自负的少年被卷入战争，一步步成长，然后理解和平意义与自身使命。布莱德的修正拳虽迟但到，最后的白色魔鬼突然宫本武藏...战斗力方面，依然是扎古真男人，联邦喜剧人...
还是不够完善，剧情没有交代清楚，毕竟是扩充也不能要求太多，算满意吧
不得不说，这是很难得的一部新片，推荐大家可以看看，光是当做城市风景片来看都很不错。
开篇的时候弹幕就在刷“老师辛苦了”，继续往后看，我终于知道是为什么了。很敬佩支教，尤其是去偏远地区支教的人。他们用自己的青春乃至生命，改变了更多人的命运。从开始的“老师”到后来的“哥哥”，他在用他的行动在感化这些人。感谢他们的坚守，不止是他，还有她，乃至他们和她们！（ps:片子的节奏有点慢）
20分钟的TV剧情扩充成100分钟的剧场版也没让多安这个角色丰满起来，一群幼儿的田园生活占了大量篇幅，谁想看他们动不动就追羊挤羊奶啊。
容观藑先生说过少民电影创作的两张皮，其一是艺术工作者对民族学和民俗研究知识的却是，导致胡乱的文化挪用，第二张皮是视觉人类学工作者缺乏对基础影视拍摄的训练，导致影响民族志作品缺乏美感和哲学深度。那么这里可以扩展到第三张皮，话语生产者（哪一个群体不言自明）对前脱贫时间节点前后的边疆少数民族群体的野蛮化（barbarianizing），导致了脱离情境的绝对化虚假的虚构（不光是所谓的给定的现实，更是脱离了合理化想象的最底层要求），使话语生产者又回到提供教化和归化的“蛮夷之辩”的意识形态高地上（教孩子刷牙）……荒谬至极，又愚蠢至极，成了受到了“欲望-影像”的角色化与叙事模式，只不过欲望不是内在复杂性，而是被某个不可言说的“大他者”所赋予。这是智力正常的藏人的“愚者失乐园”。最后硬排成狗血扶贫年代剧。
剧情中规中矩 不过如果0079能用这种画风画质重置一遍的话我应该还是会愿意再看一遍的
不管细节，只说人生的意义，还是很感人的，敬佩！

支教类的电影 总是让人容易莫名的感动 蓝天白云作北京 一望无际的草原 很容易让观众和草原里孩子们对知识的渴望产生共鸣 导演对细节的把控 虽不奢华单真实的透彻
算是圆了安彦和所有高达粉的梦吧，故事本身和电影的内容只能说中规中矩：各方面都很一般，连3d的高达战斗也那么少，算是讲了一个0079本身就讲过的故事内核（说白了就是安彦的文笔不行）
能看到如此制作的高达0079，已经是很幸福的粉丝了，不是吗。安彦良和把恢弘的uc宇宙故事聚焦于一个小岛，像是一个老人对世界的和蔼祝福一样，在影片最后把白色木马托向天空，完成自己的谢幕。
