The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 三星半。没那么好，但还是被感动哭了好几次，迷影情怀大过电影本身的剧情。
虽然水准一般，但是里面因电影相聚，因电影重逢，因电影而关联还是让人挺动情的。

其实作为松竹100年的献礼片拍得不算、不够好，但还是被对电影的这份热情和爱给感动到了。后半段コロナ期间在电影中直接说出“save the cinema”才是更加强劲有力的，对电影的爱。
