The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 题材相当不错，表现的是代孕的问题。可惜导演将其拍成了肥皂剧，让影片缺乏深度。影片在角色的设置上，先设定购买的美方与出售的印方，然后又以民族属性划了条道德界限，并据此批驳美国夫妻的自私与印度人的无私与博爱。至于代孕的现实问题及道德困境，导演则无暇顾及，或者说没有能力进行深入探讨。好在故事热热闹闹，观影过程并不沉闷。

这才是高阶法师的战斗啊。但是神奇动物的存在感越来越低了。纽特这次感觉也不够酷。全程都是邓格两人的感情戏。看的是pre-first session，感觉整个卢森堡的人都出动了。
