The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 这部影片显然对性工作者做了过于完美的演绎，但有一点是无疑的：对于买来的性，都是从突破自己的道德防线开始，然后是对性工作者的好奇打探，然后成为一种游戏周旋。当然，性是需要启发的，不论这经验从何而来，只要利用得当，它就不会只是生活的点缀那么简单。
一个禁忌的话题，两个善良敏感的人。女性困境（不止是老年）、成为母亲的羁绊、正在衰老的身体不断提醒着女主要在有限时间里遵从内心的活着。从下单性服务却拧巴退缩，Nancy与Leo诉说着彼此的经历，互相取笑对方糟糕的母子关系、以及那些人生中的期盼与遗憾，两个角色的关系一直不断的流动。影片最后，终于达到高潮的Nancy看着镜中已不再曼妙的身姿，终于放下了不安和拧巴，此时此刻她的眼睛里有光。
节奏掌握得真好，喜剧和正剧之间的切换时机都恰到好处。对话也写得超棒，触到痛处的地方戳两下收一下，绕出去一圈再突然回来戳一下。短小精悍的100分钟，有笑有泪有思考，一切都刚刚好。

先知道的这个事件，然后意外知道了这个音乐剧，没想到这个音乐剧就是讲那个事件的。

911同人衍生之“迷失”之音乐剧官摄录像，但不在live现场的观感总会打折扣，所以并没有很进入剧情，音乐没有很突出，不过在特殊时期守望相助的情感倒是颇能打动人，但这种美式主流正能量的鸡汤味有多浓，也是冷暖自知的事。
真的很厌恶女主角这种人但也觉得她很可悲。这样的性也很可悲，我个人看来。
