A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.
不穿衣服的男人可以变化成其他的人，这个应该是导演想表达一些东西。最后男人一次次生娃『没错，就是男生，从不同地方出来』，生出了女主离婚的男朋友『男朋友可能是自杀死的，也可能是…』。
配乐一如既往的不错，视效也充满新鲜感。但是主题稍显俗套，故事本身是无法自圆其说的，而所谓的隐喻也过于肤浅和夸张。请不要把罪恶与性别符号相关联，这两码事毫无关联。最后什么也解决不了，无非还是女孩不要半夜吃烧烤，不要独自租住乡间别墅，然后呢？
导演用充满暗寓、极致饱满的艺术表现手法、精致的构图、色彩设计，来表达社会里男人对女人的种种伤害——真是用心了。

导演有颗女人玻璃心，片子无非想揭示一点：男人都是一个屌样，而且没有一个是好东西
前面壁纸一般的空镜，绿意盎然，美轮美奂；配乐极简的做到了空灵神秘，仿佛来自另一个世界的召唤；套娃重生契合达尔文的泛生论-既获得性特征以“微芽”，“泛子”存储，并孕育，并随之遗传到下一代身上，“剪刀手”和“大肚子”一直遗传，直至haper男友出来，不知是否有意无意，最后应该是某种觉醒；苹果象征伊甸园禁果，又涉及到“原罪”的概念，诱惑和性既是人类替亚当背负的罪，但明显导演是反问式的，裸体男应该就是亚当的象征，男性犯的罪（自杀也是罪）由女性背负，世世代代的；另外游戏boy，牧师，房东以及警察都象征男性（父权社会）控制，粗俗，蔑视没错了；最后的女主女友的出现，算是一种对以上种种的fuck off…信息量挺大，又很模糊，意向性表达，融入恐怖元素。再加一句，A24的金主是个怪咖趴…
觉得立意虽棒但不够毛骨悚然的一大原因可能是Rory虽演技了得 但个人气质上 属于憨厚中还带了一丝委屈 不及真实社会上很多men一半的爹味, 戾气和creepy
最后二十分钟确实有些恶心，不过好在各种洞的延展性都不错，都能用来生孩子(⋟﹏⋞)
有一丢丢莫名其妙的结尾，我还希望再知道一点，到底是这个女的疯了，太内疚，还是咋滴。讲真大屏幕上生孩子就这么整真的没事吗？看着多少有点。。。反正啊是每个人都看得了
都不准确，是恶！所有人内心中的“坏东西”。至于外在的人事物，不过都是这些“坏东西”的载体而已。
差点吐了。导演牛逼。这种又恶心又怪又疼又能共情到的感觉真的太久没有过了。
男的，脏东西会分身。手的一幕邪典至尊我要吓尿了！
带着文艺气质的心理惊悚，后半部分直接cult氛围拉满，口味轻的同学慎看……五星推荐，把女性对男性恐惧的沉浸感，做得特别好。画面，音效，氛围，美的令人心醉，惊悚的使人毛骨悚然。在这样的夏天，真的相当消暑降温了。
节奏缓慢、诡谲、晦涩，无疑是本片最大的问题，但在加兰创造的美学体系中显得非常融洽，由浅至深的几重含义也在荒诞恐怖的故事中完成表达
符号是直给的，隐喻是表层的，但图像上绝对能载入cult影史（到后半段越看越兴奋。直接联想到阿伦诺夫斯基的《母亲！》一类强符号性的寓言作品，海报之一也让人想到《趣味游戏》，同样不断地对观众实施精神强暴。
打低分的men都对号入座了？
邪典程度非常A24了 割手和男人生男人两个场景记忆犹新 但总体观影体验不算愉快 昏昏欲睡 不断倒带重看 可能是我的问题….
不想去研究什么隐喻，只觉得连环生育那段有看头
概念牛逼，视听窜稀/灯光太刻意，打还是不打都在抢夺观众的注意力/画面太脏，构图运镜大失败，剪辑毫无逻辑/单镜头的美反而会让电影变丑，这部电影是范例/声音太过于傻缺，和劣质模仿表现主义的摄影一同构成a24电影中的土逼///导演是那个拍《机械姬》的，那也倒不是很惊奇。这就类似于那种固有概念理工男类型的电影/最后的概念太惊艳了尤其是那个孕妇的出场一下子收束了整个立意——直接告诉你这基本不是什么女性主义（网上有很多人无端联想，自我意淫）。因此它剪辑虽然没啥美学或者叙事的逻辑，但是它剧作上，想法上还是有的，所以加两星（甚至单从概念上来看，这已经是我今年目前看过最有意思的创意了）。
影片的問題就是從酒吧回來之後的劇情和前面過於割裂，前段是完全的氛圍營造，而到了尾段就直接把隱喻和意象一股腦兒砸給觀衆，也難怪很多人表示費解。不管怎麽樣，影片的表演和音效無可挑剔，而最後那一段更是驚悚到足以讓人做噩夢的程度。P.S.我可太喜歡Jessie Buckley了。
