The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 片子挺有种的。角色塑造立体有层次，镜头语言丰富，影迷梗应用得恰到好处，故事含蓄有留白，悬念能留到最后，调侃讽刺中透着悲凉和倔强。除了中间略跑题和拖沓，夹杂了一些没有必要的内容，作为处女作挺不错。最难得是同时拍出了人类的腐朽和光辉，还有那要命不值钱但弥足珍贵的东西——良心。

导演用一个电影真的说明白了拍电影确实不容易
非常温柔舒服的影片，宛如复古色调的私人家庭影像。身边的人来来去去，人生却一直向前走着，没有什么强求的，只是设法度过和尽力热爱。看到女主对女儿搬出去的感悟，感到伤心了。

这叫“故事会电影”，可能有个不错的故事，为之搭建了文本，但导演和表演都不太过关，剪辑简直辣眼睛

编剧太高估自己的能力了，剧本会与凶杀案其实融合不到一起去。目前看过把谜面设计为动机而非凶手本身的悬疑作品，只有东野成功了。
