The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 改编并不出彩，剧本对于事件现场和南非社会两个尺度下种族冲突的平行刻画都很肤浅，但看得出导演和编剧在质感和节奏上，有意努力模仿同经典的题材/同类型电影，这方面《血腥星期天》是标杆。作为一部中低成本时代背景电影，视觉还是很良心的，尤其是服化道。值得一提的是，前南非军队特战军人创设的G73 Tactical Advisors战术/安保机构为该片提供了警务指挥与战术顾问、演员枪械训练、警察特技群演、警用服装/装具、警用载具（包括直升机）。

节奏有点慢，这类劫持人质片本应该让人紧张的透不过气，我可几乎全程边玩手机边看完的
这个片的nb之处在于，它展示了南非种族隔离的极端自我防卫机制，哪怕你是身居高位的白人，威胁了这个体制也得死。
人质中说自己有“黑人情结”的白人女性其实是得了白化病的黑人女性啦
现在看四十年前的人们好有礼节，反抗的如此温文尔雅。片中的美国黑人已经思想解放敢想敢干了。认准的路就要一直走下去，不要奢求对手仁慈。

演讲比剧好诶，没有那么尬，但是感情递进不够，看剧版我可是流了一海水的泪啊！看这个好像没有特别打动人的地方……也有可能是演技问题？但是影版画面是很漂亮的多给一颗星

南非真实历史值得了解，但是这个拍的就是有点老套了。
