电影挺细腻的，关于移民身份，关于母女关系，妈妈因为患癌把两个女儿带回台湾，又重新和爸爸组成一家四口，确实是个很有故事性的切入点，很久没看林嘉欣演的戏，她还是那么静如止水，却很有力量。

很好理解的小故事，说不出哪里好，但看完的确会被感动。

三星半｜癌症妈妈、大雁爸爸、台英混讲的美国女孩、白马意象、非典病毒、最终敞开的门…不够完美，但部分细节还是足以让人掉泪。
剧本很扎实，并非矛盾转和谐的两段式结构，而是有着层层起伏，像海上的浪一样，而吹动这些风浪的是内外压力的挤压，美国梦的破碎、教育的转向、死亡的威胁、瘟疫的袭扰，每个人都自身难保，糟糕的情绪互相传递，气氛相当压抑。
看到一半才认出来女主是我的前女神林嘉欣。文化冲突背景下的亲子关系、亲密关系。冲突到和解的过程。
片尾的音乐极佳 突然出人声出片尾曲好跳tune 演员还不错 故事没讲好 也不投入 也不好哭 就是拧巴 大可不必的那种 不过终于这么多年 能看懂林嘉欣了
