The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Fire Island作为Gay Men Cruise Culture的一个文化符号，最有名的文本莫过于Tom Bianchi的《Fire Island Pines》.前HIV时代的火烧岛既是GayMen的同类避难所，也是性解放运动的发生之地.后同志时代的喜剧中的融入了古老的Jane Austin式的PNP叙事范式，不再在纠结认同政治，转向附近性的探索与群体链接. 总是来说，故事俗辣却很适合打发时间.如今的脆弱状态也看不了太苦大仇深的东西.
就一中规中矩的同志电影，多了亚裔主角，剧情还是够老套的啦
满怀期待而来，一脸失望而去。后半部别拍，或者一直拍和北极熊的对峙，都好过现在这种幻觉大派送。我本以为要拍成脆皮鸭文学，结果啥都没有。可看可不看，这种荒原历险片子很难拍得好，没有足够内容填充。比较而言，《极地恶灵》就很聪明。
