The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 回家的火车上看的，继《汉密尔顿》之后的第二部音乐剧。音乐剧这种东西，将音乐和剧情结合在一起，真的很有表现力，入坑了。小镇居民的援助，是人性中最原始的善的表达。

看完甚至有点庆幸因为疫情取消巡演被退票了，剧不好看，更不好听，几个演员一人分饰多角，我真的会错乱。中间我一度迷失了，这还是音乐剧吗？音乐在哪里？剧情无聊，唱段很少且毫无亮点，就记住了一句 I am an islander，现在的新剧都是这种水准了吗

真实事件改编，十周年的时候当着全村人表演个专场也太感人了吧，美式主旋律的正确用法。演员们一人分饰乘客和岛民，很考验基本功和调度了。
