The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 隔离众生相。Dany的电影总是不缺笑点，写实中点缀小温馨和小无奈，适度煽情。就很喜欢。
完全没必要拍两个小时，90分钟的体量会显得更加舒适。后段剧情逐渐崩坏，不过还是很有意思的的小成本制作
普普通通的法国生活喜剧片，只是加了一个新冠居家隔离的大背景，但也没有什么新东西。
轻松的小品，既有搞笑也有感动。看的时候总会回想起疫情初期的那些日子。哎，世界什么时候才能恢复正常啊。妈的！都怪那群造病毒的美国鬼子！

21_196。前面略闹剧，说新冠是两个中国人吃了企鹅而发生的，新冠信教不就不会得的，新冠是假的，过份害怕传染的。说实在最后的死亡是升华了电影本身的水平
寂寞的黑夜里，无边的世界，总会有一线曙光为你而折射，慢慢的忘记过去。
莫名其妙的自我感动，确实抓住了一些疫情时期的梗，但整个故事七零八碎，还涉及人体试验和动物虐待，很没必要也很不sensible，以及结尾太突然了。
就这？真是有点莫名其妙啊。合着跟先前的多元宇宙并没有什么关系啊。phase 4真的是一代不如一代。
一点好笑一点温情，一点现实一点梦幻，珍惜当下。
但是剧情上面稍微有些硬的部分 还好不至于破坏整个架构的协调
很喜欢这部影片，透过一栋楼的邻居和他们身上的故事，展现了疫情期间的悲欢离合。每一个人物都很有特点也很讨喜，情节也有转折起伏，涵盖了很多丰富的主题：隔离带给人的洁癖不止在生理，也有心理；疫情可以让人阴阳分隔，不能阻断人情和与自然的联结；病毒让人类自以为傲的阶层观念和贫富差距变得可笑，一转眼也变成实验小白鼠。病毒与爱并行成为世间最通用的催化剂。
大疫之下更需真情！虽然这片子拍的早了点，但法国人的喜剧天性即便是在天朝和后来的上海，丹尼·伯恩的性情也许仍会作出这样的选择
