The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 我最无感的marvel和dc单篇大概就是银护和自杀小队了，然后这片取了个合集。如果dc未来十年的超英电影都是这样的故事线巨弱，但是动不动一个反高潮片段的预告片合集式电影，那你们开心就好，我到此为止了。

赞滚导！艺术和商业达到了完美的平衡，还有趣！从障眼法的开头就开始疯，一路热血到底。处处透着朋克、无政府/共产主义的气息。滚导还特意用剧本call back了之前儿童相关不当言论的风波。说回来，这么叛逆的人也的确不适合留在迪斯尼，同时觉得对漫威来说是个大损失。他选择OST的能力也是一如既往得强。难能可贵的是，《银河》里的美国高中生式笑话，在这部里变成了更有深度的讽刺幽默，非常犀利。在小丑女标枪和老鼠屠城的地方，literally地哭了。喜欢多维度感染病毒的波点人～

虽然剧情实在过于混杂，把国际阴谋论，政权变动，外星生物都来一遍，虽然没有超级大特效场面，但这台词也太逗逼了，DC宇宙又走出了一条新路子。华纳真是残忍，1里不受欢迎的角色直接片头就安排死亡。
真人版《合金弹头》，或耗资1.8亿美元的Troma大电影——除了特罗马之父Lloyd Kaufman的例牌客串外，波点人变身的造型也太Toxic Avenger了。可能因为章节体，又是Men on a Mission movie，会让人想到《无耻混蛋》。与昆汀长期合作的剪辑师Fred Raskin功不可没，当然他跟James Gunn的渊源更久，第一份工就是给特罗马剪的《傻密欧与茱丽叶》。

反英雄终归还是超级英雄。黑色幽默和血浆暴力算是有新意，最终还是乏力。
豆瓣2020年度榜单高分电影 No.17。先看了导演剪辑版《正义联盟》、接着看了这部，都是DC漫画出品，和漫威比肩的美国动漫巨头。说真的，如果不是为了拿到豆瓣年度电影徽章，我可能永远不会看这种美式科幻英雄电影。原来这部电影是第二部，第一部于2016年上映，6.6分。这也是我见过少有的续集更加高分的电影。关押在监狱里的X特遣队，为了获取减刑的机会 被派往南美洲的一个小岛国 粉碎一个惨无人道的人体试验计划。乒乒乓乓地看着他们打了两个多小时，脑仁儿都疼了。最后海扁大型的海星怪兽，真的让我看出了一种奥特曼里打怪兽的错觉。不过，也是通过这部电影，我才知道，原来蜘蛛侠、钢铁侠、美国队长、绿巨人、雷神托尔、奇异博士、黑寡妇、鹰眼、神奇四侠、X战警是漫威公司的漫画角色。超人、蝙蝠侠、神奇女侠、闪电侠、绿灯侠、海王是DC公司的角色。
