根据南非种族隔离期间，一桩真实的人质劫持事件改编，不过与当时的实际情况有很大出入，属于对历史的再创作，掺杂了很多剧组单方面的理想化的虚构。
前半段的抗争成色，在类型片范畴里可圈可点，节奏把控也凌厉。但是，从司法部长女儿一番所谓同理心表达、以及黑白混血女的“真情流露”，这种老套的政zhi正确和道德正确植入，让整个片子立即坠入烂尾深渊。
比剧版好太多了吧！！！剧版的一些尴尬的点，在这里都处理得好好哦！
