The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 去年说上一部是近年来最好的，没想到这么快就刷新了。内容主题都异常丰富的一部剧场版，这个推理不比隔壁柯南靠谱吗。校园的问题，等级的冲突，精英教育和自我展现，一一串起来却不说教。日剧跑燃起来了，青春是fire，青春是跟小新一起成长
小时候励志想做漫画家，想起小学那会每天放学都会去二手书店花1块钱买一本蜡笔小新的漫画书，回家躲在被窝里看，慢慢积累看了很多被小新影响了，自己简易画了一些小新的同人漫画在班里面给同学们传着看，看着大家开心的样子很有成就感。如今已经30了，做了一份跟漫画无关的工作，回想当初，可能这就是青春吧~
4.5分：蜡笔小新系列最爱的一部！青春是什么东西呢？青春是恋爱，、是分手，青春是孤独、是陪伴，青春是自信、是自卑，青春是满足、是后悔，青春是沉默、是发光，青春是人情道义，是特立独行，青春是狂欢，青春是曾经拥有、是活在当下，青春是…“一千个读者就有一千个哈姆雷特”青春的定义“千奇百怪”正因为各有各的青春才让青春这两个简单的汉字变得意义深刻或一见就笑，或一目潸然，填鸭式教育从某种意义上本就是反人类的教育，如果内卷成为一种狂热一种理所应当，相比最本质的美好也都将烟消云散。孩子永远最真挚，蜡笔小新永远是最好的动画片，实话实说我也经常拘泥于自我内耗慢慢失去了最初对于事物的体验，谢谢小新让我再次反思自己，聆听自己～
“青春是自卑感，遗憾，狂欢，闪闪发光……”成长的道路渐行渐远，但是还谢谢大家的陪伴。 这个剧场版真不错。

一篇儿童无厘头动画剧场篇，居然涵盖了友情爱情梦想勇气教育青春热血义气团结，还毫不违和。以及风间的愿望和忧愁，想要永远和朋友在一起又害怕成长差距带来的渐行渐远也让人动容。制服老大接面具有帅到哈哈。
！！！33代也太帅了叭！！！还有这次这部新风真的太好磕了，风间是真的很认真的想要跟他们一直在一起的，但是他真的想法太多反而会很累啊……
各个漫画ip，唯有蜡笔小新还保证了编剧的质量。在世风日下出此主题真的很贴切。其实相比日本的青少年，中国的青少年更缺少青春的体验，每一步都是为了将来成就世俗的成功而迈，可是，讽刺的是，在失去了生活本身之后，人已经很难幸福。
最难过的在于，故事在讲述五个小孩终于有追寻青春的事，但是这五个小孩却永远长不大，就像永恒族里面的那个小孩一样，尽管已经无数人看着他们经历青春乃至死亡，但是小心他们却永远是五岁的小孩，不会长大、不会恋爱、不会变老，其实真的是一件难过的事。
创意非常好，哈哈哈推理神屁—小新，就是结尾稍仓促了一点点，再长一点就好了 真的看不够啊！（番长真的太帅了！）这部太出色了，近几年唯一一部感觉看到了之前大人帝国的影子。（当然每一部我都很爱看）精英算个屁啊，快乐健康才是最重要的！我永远喜欢蜡笔小新！
近年来最好的蜡笔小新剧场版了，最后一段青春无敌的奔跑让我想起了看大人帝国剧场版的感觉。一部有着反对过度精英主义的中心主题内核，歌颂青春的剧场版，以侦探推理＋日式青春的形式呈现。对孩子来说，和伙伴们在一起，也许没有无意义的事情，很多鸡娃父母，把自己对于万事万物赋予意义的焦虑辐射强加在孩子身上，其实可以看看蜡笔小新剧场版。其实春日部学院倒很像社会缩影，有中坚的所谓精英，有被体系抛弃的落水者，有离群索居的游侠（露露），有反叛者，有迷信精英体系的统治者。
风新cp、青春、推理、友情、自卑…. 是把所有可以火的关键词都融合在一起了，还一点都不奇怪，确实是佳作。 但说是历年来最好我觉得还是有点难以服我，个人还很喜欢另一部回到上世纪90年代的剧情，也是看完会流泪的感动
各种意义上的大团圆，偶尔看看还是很棒的！青春啊！就是当下！
想象是无法超越的，想象力就是你的远方。这就是动画的魅力和我喜欢动漫的原因吧！

表面上很日式无厘头，用这种方式来呈现严肃内核，能很好地避免说教意味，更能引人深思
