The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 运镜好棒，宏大的场面与配乐也配合得特别默契。故事叙述略有拖沓，后期基本在团战，而且还开了指挥官、牺牲的战友等一些其他人故事线，对于2个主角刻画反倒不多甚至没来得及交代他俩的结局。
了解了很多抗美援朝的故事，深有感触，那些英勇坚强的事迹，保家卫国的信仰，艰苦残酷的环境，对比最可爱人们牺牲，太心痛和感人了。
