The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 醇厚、舒缓的特质弥漫在整部电影里，如沐春风。
好简单安逸又温柔的东木，最喜欢墨西哥小镇那段时光。
耄耋之年的东木这些年推出的电影可以说是相当务实了，用不同的故事直面了回首与反思。这个故事相当陈旧，有意的举重若轻从而牺牲了戏剧冲突，正片下来似乎除了那句“我不知道如何治愈衰老”之外并没有令人耳目一新的桥段。与许多年前同样与子代在公路上的《完美的世界》相比，东木避就与平和了太多，直接讲出老人所想倾诉的，反高潮结局温柔自然的安抚了荧屏前的观众。
虽然故事很简单甚至有点儿扯，台词也尴尬，但是当你看到92岁的东爷，步履蹒跚，却眼神坚毅，配上绝美到窒息的美墨风景，动人的配乐，和人到暮年才有的感悟，怎能不让人动容？
高产之下，维持质量只是奢望。不过向91岁的老人的敬业精神致敬。
90岁的高龄还能演驯马的老牛仔，老人家实在是牛啊！墨西哥返美途中，将一个只想混在大街上谁也不相信的“弃儿”调教成一个有了明确认知的小牛仔，可谓内功深厚，呵呵。大公鸡在关键时刻太给力，不仅救命，还bonus了transportation，亮点大大滴。最后，老人家返回墨西哥老板娘身边，小牛仔开始闯世界了，you know where we are，可谓完美...
东木桑已经91岁高龄。而今识得愁滋味，却道天凉好个秋。全片只有和13岁少年的互相治愈互相救赎。
一个饱经风霜，被生活洗尽铅华，早已参透“硬汉”不过虚名，外表弱不禁风，内心坚如磐石；一个渴望温情，却过早熟悉冷漠，妄图伪装“硬汉”对抗世界，看似叛逆独立，实则脆弱无助。这样两个“表里不一”的家伙，被一只名副其实的“硬汉”牵线搭桥，并目（依）睹（靠）其在危机中力挽狂澜，如此设定无奈中透着几分戏谑与豁达。当二人一鸡的旅途行至终点，孤老寻得归宿，顽童走向成熟，观众也被传递了一波生活的真谛。剧本结构简单得就像一则小品，叙事上却依然有着老派的沉稳大气，节奏娓娓道来，丝毫不觉乏味。年迈的他在表达上愈发温和，也正呼应了片中的角色，对人生的回顾和总结与《骡子》异曲同工，难怪又要亲自出演。虽有力不从心，亦是甘之如饴。无论如何，能在银幕上看到老爷子的身影就是一种奢侈。牛仔离不开马背，东木永远属于片场。
行货吧，也不能说差，但就是没什么出彩的点，除了几段的摄影。

It is old-fashioned but surprisingly timely, and its clean, spare style feels classical because it’s fluent and clear-minded. Eastwood seems to be one of the few remaining filmmakers committed to conscientious storytelling.
