The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 100周年纪念真的不是非要拍多么伟大的人和事才行，百年间成功作品成功导演背后，多的是这样拥有梦想却平庸地度过一生的有半篓才华的普通人，这份给予“失败者”的共情显得温柔可贵，电影之“神”的背后是人，很多的人。而我们一生追求所爱，到头来是对是错，是否有遗憾，其实谁也说不清。观影前没仔细看介绍，所以突然看见野甜甜出现的时候真的很惊喜，还有他这个角色也太暖太甜了。“没有才华的人想做影评人，如果做不了想在京郊开一个电影院，然后放想放的电影”，能实现这样的人生理想，在现实生活中已然是人生赢家了，为他加一颗星。我们永远爱电影

比想象中要好的观影体验，中段某个奥地利口音军官完全听不懂让人如坐针毡，茨威格的小说向来描写细腻不好影视化，本片做得倒是还不错。茨维格特有的那种小资产阶级知识分子的优越感和痛苦的人精神煎熬都表现得很好。
虽然水准一般，但是里面因电影相聚，因电影重逢，因电影而关联还是让人挺动情的。
人物缺乏具体动机，罕见直白道出全球电影产业的艰难，松竹百年，关于电影的电影。
