The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 北欧神话、维京传奇、神秘主义、宿命论。反正我是挺喜欢的，可以说这次艾格斯终于找到了一种可以商业化呈现的方式。

冲两大女神看的，没想到还有Bjork惊鸿一瞥！导演用肃穆清冷的风格展示了北欧文化，所以不好看但仍值得看。后面复仇部分的剧情拖得不合逻辑，降分了，惊喜之处是大妮可自爆的一段，非常精彩！
到底是哪个天才想出来的让Nicole演Alexander的妈…他俩吵架直接穿越到《大小谎言》去了。几场恐怖的戏拍得最精彩，史诗部分就太一般了。可惜了这么多好演员。

不知为何，想起绿衣骑士……剧场出身的导演是不是很容易就很沉迷这种戏剧感啊。人复仇就会死……

就跟大部分独立导演第一次拍大制作一样，风格突出，视听服化道讲究，剧本没意思有佳句无佳章，动作戏稀烂难看至极。
妮可·基德曼的表演可以封神。剧情和亚历山大的表演中规中矩，但还是有亮点。安雅反正又像在拍画报。
