The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 风格割裂的程度太过严重，独白无法作为分割线而将每一幕的场景概括完全，既然奇幻为爱情或者记忆而服务，那么为什么环游世界的桥段也要服务于叙事，奇幻并不是代表加入了猎奇的元素就算啊，且文艺气质是存在的，可因为其中不痒不痛的商业元素（公交挤车）又破坏了整体质感。总的来说，如果没有这个结尾，全篇就是一首首短诗，好像全是精华却索然无味…，好在结尾，还能品到一丝遗憾的味道…
如《月亮与六便士》一般选择逃离，去追寻软件背后那个打动你，牵动着你的灵魂。随后，你发现你爱的ta的灵魂，有着一副别样的皮囊。

故事的逻辑有点不切实际，相遇和真相的过程则庸常琐碎，好在结尾的告别与分离把一个逃离、另一个隐瞒的两个心灵和解揉捏在一起，又让他们带着彼此的烙印继续踏上生活的旅程，音乐响起、巴士启程的瞬间有点动容。
