施拉德再拍一部就可以和《第一归正会》一起凑成“当代美国迷茫与救赎”三部曲了。故事框架上确实有些出租车司机，但此时此刻却又无比需要这样的电影。“USA”哥们儿可能是我年度最佳喜剧角色了。但也真的很绝望，男主不管到哪里，那滑稽的“USA”伴随到哪里，男主不管做什么，最后赢的都是“USA”。

Conte cruel dans une Amérique sans échappatoire ni rédemption possible.

Cineplex. International Village. 之前只有Park Theatre在播，还一直挺想看的，结过心心念念，就这个？？？一言难尽的无聊，是的，是无聊，都算不上烂，纯粹觉得不知道为何要这样的平铺直叙，只记得在一个又一个的casino喝了一杯又一杯Double, neat, whiskey. 还有去一家motel就全屋裹被套，这两件事了
救赎题材，拍得很克制，一切点到为止，略闷。
相互救赎连连碰，充斥着强烈的沉稳孤独浪漫压迫感。
这片子最先吸引我注意的竟然不是故事也不是迷人的镜头，而是音响设计。这沉闷、抑郁又孤独的音响实在太配这个故事了。
是不是忘了雇编剧啊......都没有故事的吗？！
配乐是真好听
除了男主长得很像卡纳瓦罗，一无是处。节奏缓慢，女配垃圾。音乐还行。

7分，无处排解的对过去的痛苦回忆，不同于出租车司机，这次有了明确的指向，关塔那摩虐囚事件，拍的犹如“亡命驾驶”一样逼格满满，难以移开视线；装扮成满身美国国旗的职业赌徒，每赢一次就大喊一声USA，而且一直在赢，滑稽的明喻。
手，算牌的手，喝酒的手，写作的手，在背上上纹人生信条的手，高举呐喊USA的手，鞭打囚犯的手，杀人的手，因复仇而断掉的手，爱的手。
有些镜头蛮有意思的，大段的广角和监狱里的百态，很妙。
