The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 【NYFF59 - ACH全球首映】近年在电影里看到过最好的黑白摄影之一，美得毛骨悚然。虽然依旧是麦克白的陈规故事，但是科恩在这部电影里做的aesthetic简直无与伦比，半戏剧半实景式的布景、转场、特写，都精致得每一框都可以当画。Frances McDormand的表演不用说了，Danzel其实也给我点惊喜，有点之前扮演者没有的外化疯癫。4.5，真的太需要在大银幕上感受美感了。

莎翁的東西無論怎麼改也還是魅力永存。畫幅和黑白的復古設定更是讓影片有了一絲高級感。

野心和良心不能共存，再伟大的英雄失德失势以后也不过疯子，居然在战斗中去拣王冠被砍头，这一幕设置的太好了。近距离话剧加黑白影展的配置，大爱。演员们的脸和演技全部经受特写镜头考验，还如此干净流畅，厉害啊
极简服化道，剩下的就全是细节和特写，相当托华盛顿和科恩嫂的表演。他们完成地非常出色。连女巫都演得出彩。相较之下，演麦克迪夫的黑人演员很逊。

强舞台布景，光与影辅佐戏剧张力，绝佳的构图、调度与声画剪辑，麦克白宅邸绝对是近年来最好的电影场景之一。科恩嫂和丹泽尔，他们呈现了好的表演，但同时将违和的语速、姿态与步伐带入了悲剧之中，最精彩的段落：科恩嫂梦游（6.5/10）
很多独白的台词能接受的话便会发现如诗一般美
女配真是几句台词和几个肢体动作就秒了Denzel Wanshington和Frances McDormand
极简主义，风格化摄影，只是莎翁在被翻拍过无数遍后很难再有突破、丹泽尔·华盛顿和科恩嫂的表演也缺乏惊喜。
这是话剧吗？科恩为什么拍莎士比亚？没必要拍。
