The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 看完后的回想，才感觉到电影精彩的地方。没有冲击的画面，但是氛围很强。
讲的是一个年轻的外省诗人随贵妇情人进入巴黎、被丢下于是转行做小报记者、借助各路朋友敌人摸爬滚打逐渐声名鹊起、企图重新获得贵族头衔最终彻底幻灭的经历。

7.古典电影的典型，制作精良，故事跌宕，演员表演精湛，最让人兴奋的是报纸媒体对剧场，文学，出版的控制，那种蛮荒的自由竞争在两百年前就开始得轰轰烈烈，对于王权的一步步削弱和市民社会的兴起，尽管充满了交易和利益，但这是一个开始，这是欧洲特有的传统，是有很强的根基，反观国内，可能在二十世纪初有短暂的时光，但没有延续。文学性再强一点，旁白再少一点可能就更好了。
竟然是billy the kid 的后传电影。《神弃之地》是接过了《赴汤蹈火》新西部片的棒，那这部就是老西部片复兴啦！

名著永不过时，看完电影就下单买了一本巴尔扎克的《幻灭》。
