The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 爱情、友情、青春、HxV、分离、教育，把这些元素打乱编排，画面和音乐都还是不错的水平，组合之后整体效果还不错！戳爷可爱啊！

上手经典进行大胆的诠释与更新，各版期望传递的讯息、选角思路以及具体背景各不相同；但灵魂依然是对权欲的无边渴望与心魔诱惑之下的失控。最出彩的是用极简的方式想象另个时空之下的皇室，空荡的走廊、由高墙和钢筋立柱树立的王位“监狱”还有仿佛没有尽头的门框…这里如此冰冷，仿佛可以吞噬所有。透过这些装置的感受，不断地与熟稔许多的故事交融；泽帝让人又爱又恨，这里是前半部分。

乔科恩的极简主义构图和类舞台剧的表现手法最大化的聚焦了演员，丹泽尔华盛顿和麦克多蒙德的表演也是好的，但稍显刻板的改编剧本真的太寡淡了。
然而事后那名男子告诉他他其实是艾滋病患者，因为在运动时套破了，所以这意味着凯莱布也有感染艾滋的风险。

剧场不可模拟特别在于观众对演出的自主选择，可以选择看这里，可以选择那样看，可以选择哪天看，选择都会影响呈现效果，但是电影不能，哪怕这样的也不行，这片子没哪里不好，只是像一个防腐过的、塞了棉花的、精致的，尸体标本。
